Reply to the Monthly Messages #22

 Dear brothers/sisters:

As Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh

The Almighty Lord of the World graced us with the ability to continue our spiritual monthly newsletters and messages, Shukr Wa-AlHamdulillah. However, the number of e-mail messages has increased very rapidly and continue coming through individuals and groups. Thank you for all your suggestions, encouragement and your willingness to continue receiving such religious and spiritual Islamic messages.

We kindly request for those who are AOL employees to assist our Center to submit a CII grant application to the AOL Foundation and if you do so, please send us a copy or you can contact the Center for more details. We are very thankful to you and may Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) reward you with goodness, Ameen.

Those who are in difficulties, as well as those facing hardships and in need, please repeat [(Inna Lillah Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji-oon) (We belong to Allah and to Him we will return)]. The Center is open to anyone in need. For those who work in humanitarian  aid, please remember the needy Muslim brothers and sisters around the world. We especially request to all who are able to assist, even with prayers, for making every effort to help and to ease the suffering of the victims of  the tragic earthquake in India and Pakistan. May The Almighty Lord reward all with goodness. The Glorious Qur'an says, “Those who spend their wealth by night and (by) day, secretly and openly, for them shall be their reward with their Lord, and they shall not harm any fear nor shall they grieve." 2:274

the Center received over about a two hours period115 e-mails from a group who forwarded their e-mail to the Center. Also, the Center receives a great deal of e-mail from others. And we are often unable to reply to them all because of our other duties. Those group(s) who forward their e-mails, please first conduct some research on your own, and only if you still need guidance, then seek outside help. The Center would appreciate if you would summarize your questions.

Brothers and sisters continue requesting from us Dua’as for the loved ones who departed from them (please recite Surah-AlFatehah) and also for those are ill or are separated from their families due to various reasons. We have them in our Dua’as and in our hearts. Allah (Subhanhu Wa Ta’Ala) says, “Call Me, I shall reply.” O Lord, accept our prayer and grant our request to ease their lives and burdens, Ameen. The Mighty Lord says, “Verily, with (every) difficulty (there) is ease (relief)." (94:6)

There are other human beings who are harassed, abused, tortured and murdered, and who suffer at the hands of those who are ignorant of the basic principles of humanity, while promoting themselves as leaders, speakers and saviors of the land and/or community. Such innocent ones suffer hardships, especially the children, women, and older men, who have committed no crime and who were forced to leave their homes and become refugees, and are as yet hoping to return back to their homelands, in peace and security. It is the responsibility for those who lead (administrations of governments, judicial systems, educational institutions, executive authorities, as well as individuals) to achieve peace and to implement justice for all. Any kind of injustice should be eradicated, and no innocent individual should be punished. There is peace in remembering Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) and worshipping Him. Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) loves nothing better than that His servants ask from Him. The true believers harbor no hatred toward mankind.

Islam recommends individuals to obtain knowledge, learning and wisdom. Islam has emphasized the importance of Ilm through many traditions, and verses in the Glorious Qur'an. Ilm is the sublime quality that an individual can possess, just as it in one of the most important and noblest of Divine Attributes. In fact, it is this characteristic that brings an individual closer to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala). Nabiy Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Waalihi Wasalam) said, “Seeking knowledge is an obligatory on every Muslim.” This is so because the higher the level of his/her Ilm, the greater is his/her capacity for abstraction; since it has been demonstrated in the study of philosophy that knowledge and abstraction are complementary. Moreover, the greater the degree of intellectual abstraction, the closer is the individual to the Divine Essence, Whose concept in the human mind is the highest of abstractions. (Glorious Qur'an 2:269; 20:114; 29:43 & 35:28).

If you receive duplicate e-mail messages, please inform us and we will InSha’Allah fix our e-mail lists. InSha’Allah, we will try to send our monthly message and reply at the beginning of each month, but if there is any delay, please excuse us. He is the One who allows us to continue to spread His Word to the best of our ability, and we ask Him to accept this small effort, Ameen.

For those who are interested in receiving the free monthly newsletter, please inform us, and send us a complete address if you want to receive it through the mail; otherwise, you may read it through our website, or send us your e-mail and we will InSha’Allah e-mail the newsletter to you. Also, our special thanks and appreciation to all, individuals, Islamic institutions and missions, who took the time to forward these messages from their e-mail accounts or distributed the AL-KUFA Newsletter and its Monthly Message and Reply, and also to those who are interested to be one amongst us, or who informed us about the change of their e-mail or mail addresses. We kindly request from those who sent us e-mail addresses of others to ensure that the latter are interested in receiving our messages. Otherwise, please directly circulate our messages among your own circles of acquaintances. (You might want to use the 'bcc' or 'blind carbon copy', because some people don't like their addresses to be widely distributed.) For those who can't open attachments, we will be glad to resend them as regular email messages.

The monthly prayer time-table, InSha’Allah, will be posted on KCIK’s website for each month. We encourage chaplains/officers of any institution to please print the prayer time-table and other material, and distribute it to inmates in their facility. InSha’Allah, the Center will try to post the monthly Salat time-table for other locations and/or lands. If someone is interested to receive the monthly Salat time-table, please let us know and InSha’Allah, we will send it to you. Nabiy Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Waalihi Wasalam) said, “Salat is the coolness of my eyes.” Our special thanks to you all, and may Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) reward those who serve Him, Ameen.

Individuals having Internet access may visit KCIK’s website for more information about the activities of the Center. If you wish to submit Islamic questions, we will InSha’Allah try to seek an answer. We kindly request complete quotations or references if possible. For those who would like to use the publications of the AL-KUFA Newsletter or our posted material on the website of the Center for some useful purpose, you are welcome to do so, but please quote this source to avoid copyright infringements. Please also try to contact other Islamic Institutions for help because many special requests are beyond our capacity. Finally, we welcome any articles you would like us to consider for publication. All articles, letters, Islamic questions, etc. that are sent will become the property of KCIK and will not be returned to senders. Those who sent or will send articles to be published, please send us full titles and addresses with telephone numbers. We cannot guarantee that an article or letter will be published in a particular issue of the AL-KUFA Newsletter and/or the monthly messages due to space limitations. We also reserve the right to do any necessary editing. Articles signed represent the author's opinion and not necessarily the opinion of the administration and/or staff of KCIK, or the Editors of the AL-KUFA Newsletter and/or the monthly messages.

For those who travel to serve Him and/or visit His house, or travel just for themselves, let us pray together for their safe trips. May He help them and grant them success in their goals and reward them for their efforts with good deeds and His blessings, Ameen.

For those who are interested in marriage, we hope that they will InSha’Allah choose the right way of seeking a partner according to the law of Islam. It is the duty for such individual(s) to seek and research to find information about their future partner. If you have a matrimonial advertisement {you must include a telephone number for matrimonial requests and please include your full name in English as well as your complete address, telephone number, and identification number with picture}, or wish to be involved with a group meeting, be a member of KCIK, seek professional opportunities, or like to participate in KCIK’s activities, please visit KCIK’s website or contact the Center. Our special thanks to those who invited us and/or the Center to perform their weddings. May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) grant you peace, love and compassion in each other, Ameen.

We extend our sincere thanks to all who contacted the Center to know about us, and other Islamic Centers and/or Mosques. Also please visit KICK’s Website to know more about the Center. InSha’Allah, we will be able to provide them with this information and we request other centers to provide information about themselves for better service. Also, for those who asked questions, we will InSha’Allah give the best advice according to the Glorious Qur'an and the Sunah. Jazak Allah Khair for sharing with us. O’ Lord, guide us to the right path, Islam, Ameen. The Glorious Qur'an says, “Remembrance of Allah certainly brings comfort to all hearts.” 13:28

Those who are interested in our Dawah program and/or the Muslim Inmate Rehabilitation Fund, please contact the Center. We thank those who volunteered assistance to the Center. InSha’Allah, more volunteers will come forward. May the Almighty Lord reward them for any efforts, Ameen.

Our brothers and sisters started their e-mails with the Name of Allah,“Bism-Illah-Ir-Rahman-lr-Rahim” and their greetings, “Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh”, and they ended their letters with the greeting, “Wa Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh.” Dear fellow Muslims, please also ensure that if you send us e-mail messages and files, that they are virus-free. Please read the e-mail you receive before you forward it from your account to others. It is very difficult for us to cope with such problems and disruptions.

May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala) count us among those who submit to His Will and those who remain steadfast.

Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala)'s Messenger, Rasool Allah Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Waalihi Wasalam) said, “Al-Miskin(the poor) is not the one who goes around the people and askS them for a mouthful or two (of meals) or a date or two,  but Al-Miskin (the poor) is that who has not enough(money) to satisfy his needs and whose condition is not known to others, that others may give him something in charity and who does not beg of people.

 Islamic Seminar

By the grace of the Almighty lord, the Kufa Center of Islamic Knowledge (KCIK) is dedicated to serve Islam and Humanity, and we are delighted to sponsor the Islamic Seminar. We are honored to cordially invite any professional, thinker, educationist, scientist, scholar and spiritual leader to benefit the society as a whole. We kindly request from our respectful speakers who would like to give a speech to submit in advance a copy of their speech. O’ Lord, It is the right of our tongue that we should consider it abominable to utter obscene language, and we should accustom it to good speech and discipline it with good manners. And keep it silent except in time of necessity and for spiritual or material benefit. And keep it away from superfluous, reviling, useless talk, which may cause harm or little benefit. Grant us intelligent and wisdom to use this gift of speech well. And there is no power but with You the High and Great lord.

We seek the harmony of differing cultures and our aim is to promote just peace at all levels, local, regional and global. The Center services are free of charge, and anyone who is interested to visit us, please contact the Center and honor us with your present. All participants are welcome, there is no registration form, or fee, and refreshments will be served free of charge. Jazakum Allah Khair (May almighty lord Reward You With Goodness), Ameen.
