Islam
is the only religion of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) and it means submission to
the will of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala). In verse 19 of Sura AliImran 3,
Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) says,“Verily the Religion with Allah is
Islam.” Also, Islam is the natural religion of every human being. In verse 30
of Sura ArRum 30, He says,“The nature (caused by) Allah, in which He has
created man.” And Nabiy Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Waalihi Wa Salam)
said,“Every child is born in the mould of nature (Islam). It is the parents
who make him (or her) a Jew or a Christian.” The Glorious Qur'an is the last
Divine Message to mankind which Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) has sent to His
creatures. The Glorious Qur'an’s predecessors among the Books of Allah (Subhanahu
Wa Ta’Ala) such as the Torah, Psalms, and Gospels have been superceded. The
existence of these Books indicates that
the religion of Islam was preached by all the messengers of Allah (Subhanahu Wa
Ta’Ala) in the language of its people amongst whom they were sent by Him.
Islam encourages any individual to investigate it and evaluate it.
The Glorious Qur'an says,“Those are the ones whom Allah has guided and
they are the wise people." 39:17-18
And Nabiy Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Waalihi Wa Salam) who was chosen to
deliver the Final Divine Message was not only the last Rasool but also the seal
of all the Anbiya and foremost in total submission to the will of Allah (Subhanahu
Wa Ta’Ala). The Glorious Qur’an says,“Muhammad is not the father of any of
your men, but Rasool’Allah and the Seal of the Anbiya. And He exalted for
thee, thy fame.” 33:40 & 94:4
For
those who are doing an excellence work to serve Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala),
Islam and Muslims. It is important to remind Muslims, especially those who
address others in Friday or Eid prayers, to remember Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala),
seek unity of the Muslims or more general brotherhood of mankind, and to beware
of the love for worldly material. There are those who lead Muslims who continue
to harm and harass them, burn His gifts, even kill Muslims, and their tongues
blurt out words of curses. There is no benefit in doing so, except that the
person who consider himself as a leader is harming himself and distancing
himself from Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala). Their curse comes as a result of
incorrect information and baseless statements. It is forbidden (harmful) to
curse without proper and correct information, or mere speculation. Those who
listen and agree with out of their acts, share this responsibility if they do
not act by showing their rejection with their hands, tongues or at least by
their hearts. They are following the crowd blindly. A true understanding of
Islam will open up the Muslims to light in this life and in the Hereafter. One
of Islamic basic teachings applies to family and social needs of men/women
spiritually, as well as physically. It called Amr-Bil-Ma'roof (Enjoin what is
good) and Nahi-Anil-Munkar (Forbid what is wrong). Nabiy Muhammad [Sallallahu
Alayhi Waalihi Wa Salam] has
enumerated the matter that everyone will have to render an account on the Day
when He will judge everyone. He also warned Muslims not to loosely call each
other Kafir without knowledge, which is something that many Muslims
unfortunately ignore. He said that if someone calls another a Kafir, then at
least one of them indeed is a Kafir. Hence, we might carelessly incur Kufr on
ourselves by falsely attributing it to another. It is unjust (Zalim) to avoid or
hinder the Zikr of the Name of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala) in a Masjid. May
Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala) forgive us and protect us from all forms of Kufr,
Ameen.
Masha’Allah,
Momineen and Mominaat who want to donate toward the purchase of land for the
Center, please send your donation to Kufa
Center of Islamic Knowledge (KCIK) ; P.O. Box 11771; Roanoke, VA 24022-1771,
USA. May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) reward them, and increase His gifts to
them with His blessings, Ameen Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) has described the
true believers,“And prefer over their own selves, though their own lot be
poverty.” 59:9
There
is a land close to the expressway. The size of it is one
acre with two buildings. The price is $375,000.00. Also, there are three
tracts of land of 4, 3, and 35 acres, two of them at Interstate spur, and the
third one at the Interstate. The price is approximately $125,000.00, $95,000.00,
and $50,000.00/acre, respectively. All of these properties are visible from the
Interstate. Insha'Allah, our brothers and sisters will donate to establish our
Center at one of these sites. “It is they who are truly guided.” May Allah (Subhanahu
Wa Ta’Ala) bless our planning efforts with a successful outcome, Ameen.
For
the Momineen and Mominaat who donated toward the purchase of land for the
Center, and/or supported the Center, may Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) gift them
houses in Heaven, Ameen. Insha’Allah, those who donated toward a place for the
Center, we will publish their donations in the future.
The
monthly prayer time-table, Insha’Allah will be posted on KCIK’s website for each month and we encourage our readers,
especially chaplains/officers of any institution to print the prayer time-table
and distribute it to inmates in their facility. Insha’Allah, the Center will
try to post the monthly Salat time-table for other locations and/or lands. Nabiy
Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Waalihi Wasalam) said,“Salat is the coolness of my
eyes.” Our special thanks to you all, and may Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala)
reward those who serve Him, Ameen.
Individuals
having Internet access may visit KCIK’s
website for more information about the activities of the Center. If you wish to
submit Islamic questions, we will Insha’Allah try to seek an answer. We kindly
request complete quotations or references if possible. For those who would like
to use the publications of the AL-KUFA
Newsletter or our posted material on the website of the Center for some useful
purpose, you are welcome to do so, but please quote this source to avoid
copyright infringements. Please also try to contact other Islamic Institutions
for help because many special requests are beyond our capacity. Finally, we
welcome any articles you would like us to consider for publication. All
articles, letters, Islamic questions, etc. that are sent will become the
property of KCIK and will not be
returned to senders. Those who sent or will send articles to be published,
please send us full titles and addresses with telephone numbers. We cannot
guarantee that an article or letter will be published in a particular issue of
the AL-KUFA Newsletter and/or the
monthly messages due to space limitations. We also reserve the right to do any
necessary editing. Articles signed represent the author's opinion and not
necessarily the opinion of the administration and/or staff of KCIK,
or the Editors of the AL-KUFA
Newsletter and/or the monthly messages.
Brothers
and sisters continued requesting from us dua’as for the loved ones who
departed from them (Please recite Sura-Fatehah) and also for those are ill or
separate from their families by any means. We have them in our Dua’as and in
our hearts. May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) grant our requests to ease their
lives. O Lord, accept our Dua’a, Ameen.
For
those who travel to serve Him and/or visit His house or just for themselves, let
us pray together for them safe trips. May He help them and grant them success in
their goals and reward them for their efforts with good deeds and His blessings,
Ameen.
There
are other human beings who are harassed, abused, tortured and murdered, and who
suffer at the hands of those who are ignorant of the basic principles of
humanity, while promoting themselves as leaders and saviors of the land and/or
community. Such innocent ones, especially the children, women and older men,
suffer hardships having committed no crime. It is the responsibility for those
who lead (administrations of governments, judicial systems, educational
institutions, executive authorities as well as individuals) to achieve peace and
to implement justice to all. Any kind of injustice should be eradicated and no
innocent individual should be punished. There is peace in remembering Allah (Subhanahu
Wa Ta’Ala) and worshipping Him. Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) loves nothing
better than that His servants ask from Him. The Glorious Qur'an
says,"Verily, with (every) difficulty (there) is ease (relief)." 94:6
Our
Congratulations to all who informed us about new Muslim males and females or
their wedding or their graduations. We extend our best wishes to them, their
parents, families and friends. We pray that may Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala)
grant them good health, happiness, grant
them more knowledge, learning and wisdom, and raise them in good hands to be His
faithful servants so that they become an asset to the society, Ameen.
For
those who are interested in marriage, we hope that they will Insha'Allah choose
the right way of seeking a partner according to the law of Islam. It is the duty
for such individual(s) to seek and research to find information about their
future partner. If you have a matrimonial advertisement, or wish to be involved
with a group meeting, be a member of KCIK or seek professional opportunities, or like to participate in KCIK’s activities, please visit KCIK’s
website or contact the Center.
Those
who are in difficulties, as well as those facing hardships and in need, please
repeat [(Inna Lillah Wa Inna Ilaihi
Raji-oon) (We belong to Allah and to
Him we will return)]. The
Center is open to anyone in need. For those who work in human aid, please
remember the needy Muslims brothers and sisters around the world. We pray for
all to be guided along the right path, Ameen. The Glorious Qur'an
says,"Perhaps my Lord will guide me in the right path."
38:22
We
extend our sincere thanks to all who contacted the Center to know about Islamic
Centers and/or Mosques in certain cities. Insha’Allah, we will be able to
provide them with this information. Also, for those who asked questions, we will
Insha’Allah give the best advice
according to the
Glorious Qur'an and the Sunnah.
Jazak Allah Khair for
sharing with us. O’ Lord, guide us to the right path, Islam, Ameen. The
Glorious Qur'an says,“Remembrance of Allah certainly brings comfort to all
hearts.” 13:28
Our
brothers and sisters started their e-mails with the Name of
Allah,“BISM-ILLAH-IR-RAHMAN-lR-RAHIM” and their greetings,“Assalamu
Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh”, and they ended their letters with the
greeting,“Wa Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh.” Dear fellow
Muslims, please also ensure that if you send us e-mail messages and files, that
they are virus-free. Please read the e-mail you receive before you forward it
from your account to others. It is very difficult for us to cope with such
problems and disruptions.
May
Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) bless you with great success in the establishing
the Islamic Center very soon!
Allah
(Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) gives and forgives, yet man gets and forgets. Why do
mere mortals put a question mark where Almighty Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala)
has put a period?
I
am interested in receiving information about the Kufa Center in Roanoke. I am a
student at the Military Institute, and currently I am in the process of
researching conversion to Islam. I am doing reading on my own, and sites like
yours has been helping me greatly. I am also a student of the Arabic Language so
I have been slowly reading the Qu'ran, but nevertheless I do have the
English-Arabic translated Qu'ran. Any information you could forward to me would
be appreciated greatly. I go back to school the 9th of August and although I
will have football games on Saturdays, I would be interested in maybe coming to
the Mosque once in awhile to ask questions,
and seek some knowledge.
“O
my Lord! Expand me my breast: Ease my task for me; and remove the impediment
from my speech, so they may understand What I say.” The Holy Qur’an 20:25-28
May
this letter find you in the best of health and Iman, by the Infinite Grace of
Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala).
It
is vital that the future generations are provided a legacy of which they can not
only be justifiably proud but one which they can build upon and pass to future
generations. In this context, we
should invest in our children, through establishing schools. Older children
should be provided with social spaces within which to express themselves,
including the establishment of functioning youth committees and associations for
recreation. Such should incorporate and promote Islamic Literacy.
Students
and scholars whose work and research is relevant to Islam should be considered
for assistance through scholarships and other types of support.
Allah
(Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala) existed eternally when there was no place. He existed
before creating the creation. He existed, and there was no place, creation, or
thing; and He is the Creator of everything. He who claims that Allah (Subhanahu
Wa Ta’Ala) is in something or on something or from something, commits
ash-shirk. Because if He was in something, He would be contained, and if He was
on something, He would be carried, and if He was from something, He would be a
creature.
To
know about the Kufa Center of Islamic
Knowledge (KCIK) and/or us, you may visit KCIK’s web site at www.kufa.org.
Our main goal is to serve Muslims and mankind. To send donations of any kind,

those who have a message that they would like to share with us, please send it
via e-mail; Insha’Allah, we may be able to insert such messages in the KCIK

Word. Also, you may visit the KCIK Web
page for monthly Hadith Qudsi (Sacred). Thank you brothers and sisters, and may
